In 2022, Montblanc pays homage to one of the most celebrated musicians of the twentieth century, unilaterally recognized as one of the most important electric guitarists in the history of popular music: Jimi Hendrix. In precious resin, the "dirty" white color of the cap and its engraved pattern are inspired by one of the shoulder straps of the guitars worn by Hendrix, while the glossy black body is embellished with an elegant motif reminiscent of a WAH pedal. The shape of the platinum-finished clip resembles the vibrato lever of an electric guitar. The Montblanc emblem on the top of the cap is made of fine resin. Another particular detail is the platinum-coated body ring that draws inspiration from the cable of a guitar of the 60s, engraved with the date of a famous Jimi Hendrix concert. For the fountain pen, the nib is strictly in solid gold Au 585 handmade rhodium finish and sports the portrait of Jimi Hendrix.
